Functions
Integration enables consistent processes with one database. A data model can be accessed from both the CAD and CAM systems. Problems with data import, write or read errors can thus be avoided.
In addition, direct integration creates an associative link between CAD and CAM. It is possible to program both the individual part and the assembly. Of course, the clamping devices and fixtures are taken into account in the collision analysis.
hyperMILL‘s feature technology enables the geometries available in CAD to be used for CAM programming. Thanks to automatic feature recognition, holes, threads and pockets can be identified on solid and surface models, for example.
In addition, processing strategies and tools can be linked to features in technology macros and saved in a technology database.
