Look and feel
Thanks to the direct integration, the look and feel of the CAM product adapts completely to the Autodesk CAD interface. The familiar CAD interface allows users to familiarize themselves very quickly.
All 2.5D, 3D, HSC/HPC and 5-axis milling strategies as well as turning strategies are available in Autodesk Inventor. It is particularly important that it is NOT necessary to switch between CAD and CAM; the direct integration means that the CAD and CAM systems are seamlessly interlinked and the respective commands can be used at any time.
Feature recognition
hyperMILL‘s feature technology makes it possible to use the geometry information available in CAD for CAM programming. Automatic feature recognition identifies holes and pockets on solids and surface models, for example.
In addition, processing strategies and tools can be linked to features in technology macros and saved in a technology database.
