After completing the Revit for Civil Engineering (Building Construction) training course, participants will be able to create a structural model in solid construction for building construction from existing components. Detail, position and formwork plans are derived from the model and component lists are created to prepare the masses. Views are prepared for transfer to the structural analysis. After the seminar, you will be able to represent the situation of the existing building to the new building and, within the new planning, different variants such as solid construction or prefabricated parts.
In cooperation with:
Target group
The Revit for Civil Engineering (Building Construction) seminar is aimed at designers and planners who need to create and plan a structural model for building construction using the model-based BIM working method.
Role: Planning/Modeling
Prerequisites
Basic understanding of design and insight into future CAD tasks
Learning content
Participants will be trained in the current Revit 2026 software version:
- User interface
- Specifications for project setup
- Importing and monitoring a 3D BIM architectural model
- Creation and derivation of a 3D structural model for building construction
- Conversion and variant planning
- Derivation of plans and views
- Component lists and quantities
