3D printing is changing manufacturing – and we’re here to support you

Additive manufacturing enables new ways of producing parts: faster, more individual and often more economical.
As your partner in 3D printing services, we offer not only technology but also experience – so that together we can fully realize the possibilities of 3D printing.

It doesn’t matter whether you are faced with the challenge of needing a single piece, having to procure a precisely fitting spare part, developing innovative prototypes or realizing a small series economically – we provide you with our expertise along the entire additive process chain with our 3D printing services – from design to production to post-processing, we accompany you through every step of the process.

The all-round carefree package in 3D printing service

Would you like to use 3D printing, but are put off by the thought of printers, software and personnel? We understand! That’s exactly why our goal is to make it easy for you!
If required, we can take care of the entire process for you: from data preparation and selection of the appropriate process (e.g. DLP, SLA, SLS) to professional post-processing.

We work with a wide range of materials. Depending on the requirements – mechanical strength, temperature resistance or dimensional stability – we recommend the appropriate material. In this way, we ensure that your components will actually function in their subsequent use.

Our 3D printed parts are used in a wide range of industries – for example, individual grippers in mechanical engineering, customized joints and prostheses in medical technology and for surgical planning, special and precisely fitting housings in electrical engineering and lightweight components in the automotive industry. With us, you get more than just a part – you get a well thought-out solution.

Experience that makes the difference

Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

Which 3D printing processes can I use?

We offer various processes such as fused deposition modeling (FDM), stereolithography (SLA), digital light processing (DLP), selective laser sintering (SLS), multi-jet fusion (MJF), polyjet modeling (PJM), electron beam melting (EBM) and direct metal laser sintering (DMLS). Depending on the requirements and material, we select the right printing process for your component to ensure the best quality and functionality.

What materials can I work with in 3D printing?

Our 3D printing portfolio at WESTCAM includes a wide range of materials – ideal for a wide variety of requirements. We process robust engineering plastics such as PA12, PA11, ABS, ASA and PP, flexible materials such as TPU as well as temperature-resistant or transparent plastics.

We also offer glass and carbon fiber-reinforced materials for particularly resilient applications. In the field of metal 3D printing, we use aluminum (AlSi10Mg), stainless steel (1.4404) and tool steel (1.2709). This allows us to cover applications ranging from functional prototypes to high-precision series parts in industries such as mechanical engineering, automotive and medical technology.

How long does it take until a 3D-printed component is ready?

The delivery time naturally depends on the component and the quantity. We usually deliver individual parts or prototypes within a few days. For series production or trade fair models, we discuss individual schedules in order to meet your deadline requirements in the best possible way.

Can you also support me with the design and data preparation?

Yes, with pleasure! We support you from the 3D scan and CAD design through to print-ready data preparation. In this way, we ensure that your components are optimally prepared for 3D printing.

What does 3D printing cost?

The costs for a 3D print are as individual as your project. They depend on the scope – do you only need the print or also the scan, design or data preparation? It starts at around 300 EUR – just ask!
