Digital process control – from the CAM to the CNC machine
Hummingbird digitally maps the entire workflow: from programming in hyperMILL to controlling the CNC machine. CAM projects, NC programs and tool data are managed centrally and sent to the right machine.
This reduces misunderstandings, duplicate data and other errors and guarantees transparent production with traceable processes. This leaves more time for actual machining instead of searching for data.

Perfectly matched to hyperMILL
Hummingbird is optimally integrated into hyperMILL (but also into other CAM systems) and supports deep integration.
Companies can gradually expand hyperMILL and Hummingbird into a powerful, centralized production management system.
Agile team board for production planning
The agile team board provides a transparent overview of all production orders generated from the CAM system. These can be flexibly prioritized or rescheduled to other machines. All relevant information on the production order is available digitally and the team can store messages or notes directly in the order.
Additional documents such as setup sheets, NC programs or clamping images can be easily added as digital documents or camera images. This creates a central, fully digital information hub for efficient and smooth production.


Digital workstations in production
With Hummingbird ‘s digital workstation, the machine operator receives all relevant information centrally and completely digitally. NC programs, setup information and viewer files are available directly at the workstation and can be used without media discontinuity. NC programs can be transferred directly to the machine – quickly, safely and efficiently.
An integrated tool overview shows at a glance which tools are required for the respective order. These can be transmitted digitally to the tool supplier, which speeds up coordination processes and reduces sources of error.
Thanks to its modular structure, Hummingbird can be flexibly expanded. With the additional module Tool Logistics add-on module supplements the digital workstation with powerful functions for tool logistics – for consistent, transparent and optimally coordinated production processes.
Advanced integration for Connected Manufacturing
The Hummingbird MES system can of course also be connected to various ERP systems.
The integration enables the direct transfer of orders and associated data.
Information such as stocks, production orders and material availability is synchronized in real time to ensure optimum production planning. With the connection to PDM and PLM systems, Hummingbird ensures that all product data and life cycle information flows into the manufacturing process.
