How our customers evaluate sustainability in digital manufacturing
Sustainability is no longer a niche topic – it is an integral part of economically successful corporate strategies. WESTCAM also focuses on responsible action: not as a short-term trend, but as a future-oriented attitude.
As part of our ESG customer survey 2025 , we wanted to find out how our customers experience WESTCAM in terms of sustainability, innovation and partnership. The results show a differentiated picture – with clear expectations and valuable impulses for the future.
1 Who took part? – Diversity in company size and industry
More than 40 companies from industry, manufacturing and construction took part in the survey in November 2025.
The spectrum ranges from small teams with fewer than 50 employees to large companies with more than 200 employees.
The result: sustainability is not just a “large company issue” – it is playing an increasingly important role in companies of all sizes.
2. sustainability in projects: Relevance with potential

The majority of respondents rated sustainable approaches as “important” to “very important”.
In the manufacturing and construction industry in particular, it is clear that resource-saving processes, energy efficiency and digital consistency are perceived as key levers.
One participantsums it up perfectly:
“In difficult times, people often invest less in new systems – so it is all the more important to design existing systems efficiently in order to save costs and resources.”
The feedback thus underlines how digitalization and sustainability are closely interwoven – especially through smart software solutions and proactive consulting.
3 WESTCAM & sustainability
Changing perceptions
When asked how strongly WESTCAM is associated with sustainability, the average score was around 3 on a scale of 1 to 5.
This shows that customers value the company’s technical expertise and innovative strength, but would like to see sustainability anchored even more visibly in brand communication.
One comment gets to the heart of the matter:
“Practical solutions! But I don’t (yet) see sustainability or can’t judge it.”
This point is both an incentive and an orientation for WESTCAM: sustainable innovation is already taking place – for example through digitalization, automation and increased efficiency – but should be highlighted even more strongly in the future.

4. customer satisfaction & recommendation: strong trust in the collaboration
Particularly pleasing: the Net Promoter Score (NPS) is at a high level. The majority awarded scores between 8 and 10 points when it comes to recommending WESTCAM .
This reflects a very high level of satisfaction – especially for topics such as:
- Fast and competent support
- Reliability and personal support
- Metrology expertise and technical know-how
- Friendliness and solution competence in support
One customer sums it up aptly:
“A very competent team that scores with friendliness. I am generally very satisfied .”
5 What our customers want
The content evaluation shows clear development priorities for the future:
- Regular practice-oriented online training courses on new software versions and application tips
- Even stronger integration of sustainable approaches in digital solutions
- Increased efficiency and automation – especially for CAM processes
- Better tested software releases and intuitive user guidance
6 Our common path forward
The results of the ESG Customer Survey 2025 are more than just a feedback tool for WESTCAM – they are an invitation to dialog.
They confirm our goal of connecting technology, people and sustainability even more closely.
