"Bewusst Tirol" - A Tyrolean award with a genuine regional signature - WESTCAM

Agrarmarketing Tirol GmbH awards the “Bewusst Tirol” seal of quality to restaurants and accommodation establishments that consistently use Tyrolean food in their cuisine. The “Bewusst Tirol” coin is the visible symbol of this award – a signpost for consumers and guests who want to enjoy Tirol with all their senses.

Local. Conscious. Sustainable.

In order to receive the award, participating businesses must disclose their regional food purchases. Only those who purchase a defined amount of Tyrolean food in relation to their total requirements are allowed to call themselves “Bewusst Tirol”. There are currently 263 businesses with this award.

For this reason, the symbol itself should also stand for what characterizes it: Regionality, quality and awareness. The coin is a Tyrolean idea, was designed in Tyrol, manufactured in Tyrol – and stands for Tyrol.

The project is the result of a successful collaboration between three strong Tyrolean partners:

S&W Eloxal Oberflächentechnik GmbH – responsible for the finishing and coloring of the medal

Precision from Tyrol

The coin is made from high-quality aluminium, which is characterized by its lightness, durability and resistance. Milling is carried out on CNC machines, resulting in precise contours and a clear design language.

The anodizing process at S&W gives each medal its final visual and tactile finish, which not only provides the characteristic colouring but also protects the surface against environmental influences.

The result is a product that not only symbolizes regionality, but brings it to life – from the idea to the final processing – and shows how powerful regional economic cycles can be.
