Prerequisites
Windows, CAD knowledge advantageous. Also available as a follow-up course to the completed hyperMILL 2D milling training.
Learning content
CAD basic functions
- Learning how to use all surface and curve commands
- Interfaces and layer control using exercise examples
Programming interface / basic settings
- Component preparation and programming interface
- Definition of processing lists and coordinate systems
- Creating blanks, milling areas, tool and holder geometries
- Familiarization with the various simulation options, NC file and documentation options (report)
- First cycle definitions in the 2D area (contour and pocket machining, definition of drilling cycles, residual material machining, radius correction)
- Working with 3D cycles (roughing, various finishing strategies, residual material processing, collision control and avoidance)
Feature and macro technology
- Creating and editing a knowledge database
- Working with automated geometry recognition and programming
